Midnight Freeway
Picture a dark motorway and then you hear a car speeding by. The car passes you and the frequency of the engine hum changes, becomes lower. This is known as the doppler effect and you can hear it happening in this piece! The left hand is relentless with it's "tremolo" figures, but it is saved by the fact that the low note is always the low C. The tempo takes a bit of practice to, but it is great fun to play and a fascinating showpiece!
