JohnWillard A. Utuk is a pianist & educator who infuses emotion and narrative in his works. His pieces usually include musical cryptograms: words related to pitches and melodies. As a composer, The Etherea Suite, Volume 1 was self-published as an advanced collection for piano students inspired by Trials of the Innermost, a sci-fi/fantasy novel. His chamber compositions The High Priestess and Constellations with piano have premiered at the Walden Creative Musicians Retreat with members of the International Contemporary Ensemble. Advocating healthy mindset practices, his classical performances are musical meditations on the Insight Timer application. JohnWillard studied with the late Ms. Eleanor Morgan of Cape Coral, FL, and with the late Artist-in-Residence, Dr. Robert MacDonald at Florida Southern College. JohnWillard holds bachelor’s degrees in music education & performance from Florida Southern College and a Master of Music in piano performance from the University of North Florida.
