She studied piano with William Hatton Greene, composition with Harl McDonald at the University of Pennsylvania, and painting with her father N.C. Wyeth. In 1934, her composition Christmas Fantasy was performed by the Philadelphia Orchestra, with Leopold Stokowski conducting.
