The Ländler is a folk dance that was popular in Austria, Bavaria, German Switzerland, and Slovenia at the end of the 18th century. It is a partner dance that strongly features hopping and stamping. These 6 Ländler by Ludwig van Beethoven were probably written for a live event with dancing and were arranged for solo piano. These short and simple pieces that are suitable for intermediate-level students.
